Hello there!
My name is Mrs. Stanley and I am your 4th grade teacher at Great Falls Elementary School. I LOVE to learn and I hope you will too!
I teach writing, math, and science and my team teacher, Mrs. Sedenka, teaches reading and social studies. I have loved math since I was little, so I tend to get pretty excited when helping others learn new concepts. I am also very concerned with our environment and the impact we have on everything around us. Science class is a great place to learn about our world, what it's made of, and what we can do to preserve the environment!
I live in Gorham, Maine with my husband, Tyler, our three daughters, Zetty, Nell, and Rita. We have two dogs and a lot of chickens! When I have free time I love to take walks, go skiing and snowboarding, cycle, swim, read, refinish old furniture, and play with my kids. My husband is a musician, so that means I get to see great live shows, travel a little, and dance a lot!
I can't wait to start learning from each other this year. Our classroom will be a safe and respectful place where you can ask questions, share ideas, create something new, and dive into learning!
Remember that each piece of knowledge is like a tool...the more knowledge you acquire, the more tools you have in your tool belt to help you build ANYTHING you want in life and fix any problems that arise along the way!
